CHALLENGE:

During the rebranding of the company Itconic, the CEO raised the need to make some Icons to represent each of the business units and that could be used later in all the company’s materials, from digital to printed.

EXECUTION:

First of all the icons to be made were defined, being the following services the ones that had to be represented:

  • Datacenters services
  • Cloud services
  • Managed services
  • Security services

The next step was to make a series of sketches and present them to the client of the company after some nuances, proceeded to its acceptance and proceeded to digitize the sketches, for this we used a grid.

In the same way several modifications were made in different colors and in different forms to be able to see them with all the palettes and possibilities that allowed the style manual. The following were finally accepted:

In the following meeting with the client we proceeded to implement these Icons in templates and many other supports, physical and digital.

For the development of Itconic’s business icons we took into account firstly the style manual (typographies allowed, color palettes, …), secondly the use that were going to be given, as we were raised should be easily recognizable icons and exportable to any type of format, both physical and digital:

The icons had a great acceptance, the advertisements that were developed for print media, were published regularly for a few months, coming to appear in national print media such as “Expansion”, or Europapress breakfasts among many others, as well as in specialized magazines.

These icons tried to be updated after the acquisition of some companies, but they were never modified, so the original ones were still used in Itconic until the acquisition of Itconic by the Equinix group.
